Creative Industries blog

Creative Industries

So far, I have decided what kind of business I want to do. In the beginning, I was more inclined to do a completely different project. After I did some research, I saw a video in which a photographer took several photos from an apartment and then merged to form a 3D photo of the house, so people could navigate inside without leaving their couch. Similarly to Google Maps.

After speaking with my teacher and realizing that there was someone already developing that line of business in the UK, I decided to choose another business area. I asked myself what area I really wanted to engage in.

Animation was the answer, due to a module that was developed in the second year of the foundation degree. The idea is to create a company that transforms stories written by children into animation or illustration depending on what the customer wants. The illustration part was an idea that came later but it seems like a good complement to the business. The whole objective is to inspire children to engage in writing and subjects that have to do with arts.

Although I don't have much experience in both areas, it is definitely something I would love to try in order to develop more knowledge, drawing wise and software wise. I also prefer to do something that I am passionate about and see myself doing in the future.

I have completed my proposal, but there are still a few questions I am not sure about, like how to price the product for example.

I have also started to create a name for my company.
